Latham sees massive chance in second innings

New Zealand have a “massive chance” to make up for a poor start to the third Test against India in their second innings, says Tom Latham.
India declared on 557-5 on Sunday, and the Black Caps got their response off to a solid start with opening duo Latham and Martin Guptill building a 118-run partnership.
However, Ravichandran Ashwin’s six-for helped roll the tourists for 299, with India reaching stumps on day three at 18-0 with a 276-run lead.
Latham is hopeful for an improved performance when the Black Caps return for their second innings, suggesting a result could still be salvaged.
“It’s [the wicket] obviously deteriorating and turning more. We weren’t at our best, we lost wickets that we weren’t happy with. Hopefully we can rectify that in the second innings,” said Latham.
