Bangladesh have won the toss and opted to bat first in the 1st T20 against Sri Lanka in Dhaka today.
After registering their second successive series win on tour, first the tri-series and then in the Tests, Sri Lanka will look to continue their winning run in the T20 series against Bangladesh, starting today.
Sri Lanka started the tour with a loss against Zimbabwe before progressing to the final of the tri-series and eventually winning it. The Dinesh Chandimal-led side took that form into the longer format, winning the two-match series 1-0.
Bangladesh, on the other hand, will look to put on an improved show and end this home series on a high.
They are without their regular skipper Shakib Al Hasan, who is still recovering from a finger injury sustained during the tri-series final in January.
Bangladesh team is full of injury-ridden players. Tamim Iqbal is suffering from his bicep injury while Mushfiqur Rahim has a wrist injury. Both failed to recover in time for the T20 series.
