Mahela officially tenders T20I resignation

Mahela Jayawardena has officially tendered his resignation to the CEO of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), announcing his retirement from playing International Twenty20 cricket, SLC said.
“Chief Executive of SLC Mr. Ashley De Silva has received the letter from Mahela Jayawardena,” SLC said.
Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene were given a great send-off as Sri Lanka beat India by six wickets in the 2014 ICC World Twenty20 tournament final at Mirpur.
The classy batsman has announced that he will retire from international T20 cricket after the world cup in Bangladesh.
