Duruthu Poya celebrations…

Buddhist devotees across Sri Lanka and the globe are celebrating the ‘Duruthu poya’ day today (1).
The ‘Duruthu poya’ day celebrates numerous significant historical occurrences for including the first visit made by lord Buddha to Sri Lanka.
The ‘Asapuwa podha’ program organized by FM Derana will be broadcasted throughout the day to celebrate this momentous occasion.
