Protest against drug shortage, tax revisions...

The police had closed Galle Road for traffic at the Lotus Roundabout in Colombo today (Jan. 20) due to a protest march organized by several trade unions together with civil organizations, against the shortage of drugs in the hospital system and the government’s arbitrary tax revisions.

Meanwhile, Independence Avenue in Colombo was also blocked near the Nelum Pokuna Theatre.
