Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman arrived in Sri Lanka for a three-day visit on 01 November.

During her visit, the Indian Minister called on several key Sri Lankan figures, including President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena, the Chief Prelates of the Asgiriya and Malwatte chapters, and also visited various sites of bilateral importance, including Lanka IOC Oil Tank Farm and State Bank of India branch in Trincomalee, as well as the Nallur Kovil in Jaffna.
