Former CMC member Jayantha de Silva passes away

Former Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) member Jayantha de Silva has passed away at the age of 78.
A former member of the Western Provincial Council (WPC), Mr. De Silva was synonymous with his project ‘Pragna Pradeepa’, which had donated stationary and other equipment to school children since its inception in 1988.
A former member of the United National Party (UNP), he had later joined the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB).
