Govt. to allocate more funds for education - PM Harini

The newly appointed Prime Minister, Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, stated that the government has decided to allocate more funding for education.

The Prime Minister further noted that she has instructed officials to take necessary steps to address the public’s mistrust with regard to the Ministry of Education and the Department of Examinations.

She also directed the officials of the Department of Examinations to take necessary steps to release all delayed exam results.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister’s Secretariat announced that instructions have been given to immediately halt inviting politicians to school events.
