Mangala Wijesinghe appointed EDB Chairman

The Chief Operating Officer of Brown & Company PLC, Mangala Wijesinghe has been appointed as the new Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Export Development Board (EDB).

 

Prior to this appointment, Wijesinghe served as the COO of Brown & Company PLC, one of the oldest diversified conglomerates in Sri Lanka.

 

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) while he is also a Chartered Professional Manager in Sri Lanka.

 

Wijesinghe takes over from veteran export professional Dr Kingsley Bernard, who assumed the Chairmanship of the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) on April 03, 2023.
