Arjuna Herath appointed Chairman of BOI

Former Senior Partner and Head of Consulting at Ernst & Young in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, and former Chairman of the Sri Lanka Personal Data Protection Authority, Arjuna Herath, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Investment (BOI) of Sri Lanka.

He currently holds the position of a Board Member at the Colombo Stock Exchange and has previously served on the boards of the Sri Lanka Accounting and Auditing Standards Monitoring Board and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka. 

Further, his career also includes roles as Marketing Development Manager at Ceylon Tobacco Company and Director of Corporate Finance at the Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka. 

A distinguished Senior Chartered Accountant, Herath is a Past President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and has been actively involved in international accounting forums. 

He is also a Past President of the South Asian Federation of Accountants, a former Board Member of the Confederation of Asia Pacific Accountants, and the Chairman of the Professional Accountancy Organization Development Committee of the International Federation of Accountants.
