2025 Budget to be presented in February or March - President

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has announced that the 2025 Budget proposal will be presented in February or March 2025.
He stated that the budget proposal will focus on increasing salaries of the state sector, providing allowances for school children, and also increasing allowances for the underprivileged and disabled communities.
President Dissanayake also stated that the new government will present a Vote on Account in December this year.
