Body of drowned youth washed ashore

The body of a youth who had been reported drowned yesterday was washed ashore at Mount Lavinia this morning. The body was removed by police for examination.

 

 

The victim, identified as Rukmanage Nissanka aged 17 years according to his National Identity Card, had left home yesterday with three other friends, a girl and two boys saying that they were going for a party, said the father Rukmanage Akila Priyadarshana.

 

 

However, he had been dragged out to sea by the waves yesterday while he was bathing at Mt. Lavinia.
