The preferential vote results of the Kandy District in the 2024 General Election have been released.

NPP’s R K.D. Lal Kantha has polled the highest number of preferential votes in the Kandy District. 

Rauf Hakeem and Chamindrani Kiriella have secured two parliamentary seats for the SJB in the district while Anuradha Jayarathne secured a seat for the New Democratic Front (NDF).

1. Rauf Hakeem - 30,883

1. Anuradha Jayarathne - 20,749
