Preferential vote results of Nuwara Eliya District

The preferential vote results of the Nuwara Eliya District in the 2024 General Election have been released.

NPP’s Manjula Suraweera Arachchi has polled the highest number of preferential votes in the Nuwara Eliya District. 

Palani Digambaran and Velusamy Radhakrishnan have secured two parliamentary seats for the SJB in the district, while Jeewan Thondaman has secured a seat for the United National Party (UNP).

2. Madhura Senevirathna - 52,546

3. R .G. Wijerathne - 39, 006

4. Anushka Thilakarathna - 34,035

5. Krishnan Kaleychelvi - 33, 346

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB)

1. Palani Digambaran - 48,018

2. Velusamy Radhakrishnan - 42,273

United National Party (UNP)

1. Jeewan  Thondaman - 46,438
