Around 96% of medical graduates who recently completed their internship have applied for post-internship appointments, the Ministry of Health stated.

Applications for post-internship medical appointments closed at noon today (April 4), as scheduled by the Health Ministry. Accordingly, out of 453 doctors who completed their internship this year, 435, or 96%, successfully applied for appointments, the Health Ministry said in a statement.

The Ministry of Health said those who completed their internships will be assigned to new hospitals and healthcare institutions based on their application preferences and merit list rankings shortly. The appointments will be made through a transparent and scientific process aimed at addressing medical staffing needs across the country, the Health Ministry noted.

Details including the selected applicants’ names, assigned service locations, and reporting dates will be announced by the Ministry of Health in the near future.
