Special commodity levy on maize increased to Rs. 50 per kg

The special commodity levy imposed on imported maize has been increased to Rs. 50 per kilogram.
The gazette extraordinary in this regard has been issued by the Ministry of Finance.
Accordingly, the revised rate will be in effect from May 5, 2026 to December 31, 2026.
