UPFA wins Sabaragamuwa and North Central PCs

The UPFA won the Sabaragamuwa and North Central Provincial Council elections by securing 28 and 21 seats respectively. The UPFA secured a total of 488,714 votes in the Sabaragamuwa Province and 338,552 votes in the NC Province.
In the Sabaragamuwa Province the UPFA won 28 out of 44 seats while the UNP secured 14 and the Ceylon Workers Congress gained 2.
In the North Central Province the UPFA won 21 out of 33 seats while the UNP and People’s Liberation Front secured 11 and 1 seats respectively.
