UNP MP injured in accident; pedestrian killed

UNP MP Dilip Wedaarachchi and two others have been hospitalized following an accident early this morning in the Wadigala area in Hungama.

It has been reported that the vehicle in which the Hambantota District Parliamentarian was traveling had collided with bus.

The injured persons were admitted to the Tangalle District Hospital and later transferred to the Matara Hospital.

Police said 39-year-old pedestrian was killed in the accident.
