In an exchange of North Central Provincial Council ministerial portfolios K.H. Nandasena today took over the Education Ministry from Peshala Jayaratne, the Governor of the North Central Province (NCP) Karunaratne Divulgane said.

Nandasena will now handle the Provincial Education Ministry in addition to his current duties as Minister of North Central Provincial Cooperative, Trade and Food, Small Industries, Textile Industries, Rural Development and Tourism.
The move comes in the wake of recent accusations by teachers regarding certain decisions taken by Peshala Jayaratne in his capacity as the Provincial Minister of Education.
