2014 PC polls: Gampaha District final result

The UPFA has managed to secure the highest number of votes (582,668) in the Gampaha District while the UNP comes in second with 249,220 votes. 

The Democratic Party, contesting the Western Provincial Council for the first time, has obtained 88,557 votes to claim the third spot from the JVP, which has managed just 56,405 votes, according to the final results of the Gampaha District.

The SLMC and DPF have received 17,296 and 6,844 votes respectively.

His gives the ruling UPFA 23 seats from the district, 4 seats less from the previous election, while the UNP has managed to keep hold of its 10 seats. The DP has secured 4 seats while the JVP and SLMC have obtained 2 and 1 seat respectively.

The number of seats allocated for the Gampaha District has been increased by one this year.

The UPFA has received the highest number of votes in the Katana polling division with 50,857 while the UNP has received 22,491 votes. The Democratic Party has received 9,083 votes while the JVP received 3,964.

In the Minuwangoda polling division, the UPFA received 51,035 votes while the UNP received 18,205. The DP and JVP received 6,759 and 4,809 votes respectively.

In the Gampaha polling division, the UPFA received 50,227 votes while the UNP received 16,633. The DP received 10,143 and the JVP 6,767 votes.

In the Ja-Ela polling division, the UPFA received 46,286 votes while the UNP received 25,364. The DP obtained 7,267 votes and the JVP has 5,534 votes.

In the Dompe polling division the UPFA received the highest number of votes with 44,256 votes while the UNP got 18,277 votes. The DP and JVP received 5,206 and 2,779 votes respectively.

The UPFA received 28,200 votes in the Kelaniya polling division while the UNP has received only 13,030 votes. The DP has received 5,677 votes and the JVP 4,288.

In the Negombo polling division, the UPFA received 28,763 votes while the UNP received 22,687. The Sri Lanka Muslim Congress obtained 3,943 votes, DP 3,294 votes and JVP received 2,330.

In the Mahara polling division the UPFA received the highest number of votes with 55,286 votes, the UNP got 17,872 votes while the DP and JVP received 9,136 and 5,965 votes respectively.

The UPFA has received 36,650 votes in the Wattala polling division while the UNP has obtained 22,642 votes. The Democratic Party has received 5,432 and the Democratic People’s Front (DFP) managed 3,873 votes.

In the Divulapitiya polling division the UPFA has secured 40,666 votes while the UNP has obtained just 17,835 votes. The DP has received 4,823 votes and the JVP 2,112.

The results for the Mirigama polling division show the UPFA on top with 43,418 votes, the UNP with 16,957 votes, the DP with 5,550 and JVP with 3,763 votes.

In the Attanagalla polling division the UPFA has received 50,735 votes while the UNP has managed 13,667. The DP and SLMC have received 6,333 and 4,504 votes respectively.

In the Biyagama polling division the UPFA has obtained 40,473 votes, the UNP 19,859 votes, DF 6,691 and JVP 5,073 votes.

The Gampaha District postal voting results show the UPFA with the highest amount of votes with 15,816 while UNP received 3,701 votes. The Democratic Party received 3,163 votes while the JVP got 1,344 votes.
