“If they had a brain, they would not have inked a motion of no-confidence against the Prime Minister,” the Chief Prelate of the Asgiri Chapter of the Siam Sect, the Most Venerable Galagama Sri Aththadassi Thera has said.
The observation was made when he met Minister Lakshman Kiriella at the Asgiriya Rajamaha Viharaya last afternoon (8).
“This may lead to many consequences. I’m so worried, the MPs who signed for the motion cannot realise the situation,” Thera said.
Minister Kiriella pointed out that a coalition government will be formed after the next election, thus they can face the growing international pressure on the government.
The motion of no-confidence against Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe was handed over to the Parliament, last week.
