One dead, 9 injured after bus-lorry collision

One person was killed while another 9 passengers were wounded following a head-on collision involving a bus and a lorry in the Ellepola area in Balangoda. 

The driver of the lorry, transporting textiles to a garment factory in Balangoda, had succumbed to injuries after being admitted to the Balangoda Hospital. 

The lorry had collided with a passenger transport bus traveling from Badulla to Colombo. 

Nine passengers of the bus were also admitted to the Balangoda Hospital.
