Sri Lanka celebrates World Tourism Day…

A ceremony to celebrate World Tourism Day was held today (27) at the Nanu Oya Railway Station, where the Nanu Oya Railway Station Tourist Drivers Association and the Tourist Three-Wheeler Owners Association, with the support of the Station Master and staff, warmly welcomed foreign tourists arriving by passenger trains with garlands. Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau marked the occasion at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) by greeting arriving tourists with parcels containing cakes and tea packets, while traditional Up Country and Low Country dancers performed to showcase Sri Lanka’s cultural heritage.
