Patients suffer due to drug shortage in kidney unit of Kandy Hospital

Patients of the Kidney Unit of the Kandy Teaching Hospital are facing difficulties due to shortage of medicine.

It is difficult to obtain these drugs from the outside because of the high price, say the patients.

Chairman of the Kidney Patients’ Welfare Association Jayantha Wasalamuni said that this has occurred due to the inefficiency of the hospital authorities.
