Three more ministers sworn in

Two new Cabinet Ministers and a State Minister have been sworn in before President Maithripala Sirisena today (07) at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo.

Accordingly, former Speaker and UPFA MP Chamal Rajapaksa has been appointed as the Health Minister while Pavithra Wanniarachchi is the new Petroleum State Minister.

UPFA MP S.B. Dissanayake has been sworn in as the Minister of Highways and Road Development.

Newly appointed ministers:

  1. Chamal Rajapaksa: Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine
  2. S.B. Dissanayake: Minister of Highways and Road Development
  3. Pavithra Wanniarachchi: State Minister of Petroleum Resources Development

 

Meanwhile, H. M. P. Hitisekara has been appointed as the President’s new Chief of Staff, reports President’s Media Division. He had received his appointment letter  from the President this evening.
