Coronavirus cases in Sri Lanka soar to 70

Sri Lanka has identified more positive cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number to 70, says Minister of Health Pavithra Wanniarachchi.

As of this morning (20), the number of Covid-19 patients in the country stood at 65.

According to reports, 243 are receiving treatment at hospitals on suspicion of being infected with the virus.

In the meantime, the National Operation Centre for Prevention of Covid-19 has stated that more than 2,400 including foreigners are being quarantined at 17 centres across the country.
