Sri Lanka reports over 1500 coronavirus recoveries; no new cases in 2 days

More patients regaining their health from the COVID-19 infection has pushed the number of coronavirus recoveries in Sri Lanka past the 1500 mark.

Twenty-eight patients who had been receiving treatment for the coronavirus infection have been discharged from the relevant hospital upon recovery.

Thereby, the tally of recoveries in the country has now climbed to 1,526 cases, stated the Ministry of Health.

Sri Lanka has not reported any new COVID-19 infections over the past two days. Accordingly, the total number of cases reported in the country rests at 1,950.

As per the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry, 413 active cases are currently under medical care at selected hospitals.

Sri Lanka has witnessed 11 deaths from the virus so far.
