COVID-19: 51 more cases add to Minuwangoda cluster

Fifty-one more COVID-19 infections have been detected within the Minuwangoda cluster, stated Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva.

Fifteen patients among them have been detected from the quarantine centers operated by the Sri Lanka Army.

The remaining 36 are identified as close contacts of the Minuwangoda apparel factory employees.

A total of 90 COVID-19 cases have been reported within the day so far.

All of the new cases belong to the Minuwangoda coronavirus cluster.

Accordingly, the Minuwangoda cluster has expanded up to 1,397 cases in total.
