All schools in the Dambulla Education Zone will be closed for a period of one week from tomorrow (November 30), Mayor of the Dambulla Jaliya Opatha said.

This decision was taken considering the possibility that children of COVID-19 infected patients could attend schools.

Meanwhile, the Galkiriyagama school was recently closed as a farmer in the Galkiriyagama area in Galewela was diagnosed with the coronavirus.
