Sandani Peiris returns with 2nd runner-up crown in ‘Top Model of the World 2023’ pageant

Sri Lankan model Sandani Peiris, who was crowned the 2nd runner-up at the 29th “Top Model of the World 2023”, the glittering pageant held on March 03 at Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, has returned to Sri Lanka this morning (March 07).

 The pageant, which is organized by the World Beauty Organization, was held from February 20 to March 03, with the participation of 42 models representing different countries all over the world.

The 22-year-old, who is also working as a Ballet instructor at an international educational institution in Colombo, had returned to the island at around 8.30 a.m. this morning, onboard a Gulf Air flight.

Speaking to reporters upon arriving in the island, Ms. Sandani Peiris expressed that she will be working for India’s biggest modelling agency for the next 06 months on their invitation.

Meanwhile, the title of Top Model of the World 2023 was won by Ms. Mariana Macias Ornelas of Mexico, while Leicy Rivas Moreno of Colombia was adjudged the first runner-up.
