One dead, 3 injured in shooting at Pitigala

One person has been killed while three others have been injured following a shooting incident at Pitigala in Elpitiya, police said.
The shooting had been carried out this evening (11) by two unidentified individuals who arrived on a motorcycle near a shop in the Guruwala area in the Pitigala police division.
The suspects are believed to have used a T56 assault rifle in the shooting, according to police.
One person was killed on the spot while three others including a woman have been admitted to the Gallinda Regional Hospital with injuries.
Pitigala Police are conducting further investigations.
