Veteran singer Chandra Kumara Kandanarachchi passes away

Veteran Sri Lankan singer Chandra Kumara Kandanarachchi passed away on Tuesday morning (March 26).
He was aged 76 at the time of his demise.
According to reports, Kandanarachchi has received medical treatment at the Apeksha Hospital in Maharagama for a while.
He was well-known for a number of hit songs including ‘Ege Sinahawa Thahanam’, ‘Pem Benda Sith Benda’, ‘Ganga Nadee Theeraye’, and ‘Hithe Sathuta Jiwithe’.
