Fowzie’s son arrested over assault incident

Former Provincial Councillor Nauzer Fowzie has been arrested by Kollupitiya Police for allegedly assaulting a person following an accident involving his vehicle, police said.

He is accused of assaulting an individual after hitting that same person with his vehicle on School Lane in Kollupitiya.

Nauzer Fowzie, who is the son of former Minister A.H.M. Fowzie, has been released on police bail. 

Kollupitiya Police is conducting further investigations into the incident.
