Uptick in dengue cases amid current weather conditions

The Government Health Entomology Officers’ Association has reported a significant rise in dengue cases since the end of September, attributed to prevailing weather conditions.

According to Najith Sumanasena, President of the association, over 38,000 dengue cases have been reported so far.

He further noted that the number of patients has increased across 20 Medical Officer of Health (MOH) divisions.
