Acting Commissioner General of Registration of Persons appointed

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the appointment of Mrs. M.S.P. Sooriyapperuma as the Acting Commissioner General of Registration of Persons.
The post of Commissioner General of the Department of Registration of Persons has been vacant from September 24, 2024.
Accordingly, the Cabinet of Ministers has approved the proposal presented by the Minister of Public Security to appoint Mrs. Sooriyapperuma, a special grade officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service, who is currently working as an Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Public Security, to the post of Commissioner General of Registration of Persons on an acting basis.
