Opener Pathum Nissanka has been ruled out of the upcoming two-match Test series against Pakistan as he continues to recover from a left hamstring injury, Sri Lanka Cricket has announced.

The National Cricket Selection Committee has named Lahiru Udara as Nissanka’s replacement for the series.

Udara is already in Pakistan as part of Sri Lanka’s ODI squad and will now be called upon to join the Test squad as the team prepares for the two-match series against Pakistan.
