Shasheendra Rajapaksa at Presidential Commission of Inquiry

Former Uva Province Chief Minister, Shasheendra Rajapaksa, arrived at the Presidential Commission of Inquiry appointed to investigate serious acts of fraud, corruption and abuse of power, state resources, and privileges.

A spokesman for the commission said that Mr Rajapaksa is currently giving a statement regarding alleged construction work in state-owned properties in the Mahiyanganaya area and land deals carried out outside due process.
