Ravi Jayewardena passes away at 80

Ravi Jayawardena, son of the late former President J.R. Jayewardena has passed away at the age of 80, family sources said.


Ravi Jayewardene was the only child of former President J.R. Jayewardena. He was a pilot in Air Ceylon and also served as a Presidential Security Adviser. He was a notable marksman and the founder of the elite Special Task Force as well.
