Govt is committed to protecting war heroes - President

President Maithripala Sirisena stated that the Government was consistently carrying out a policy-based programme to protect war-heroes.

He assured that all war-heroes, from the Commander right to the lowest-ranking soldier would be protected by the Government and that no international force could lay a hand on our heroes.

The President expressed these sentiments upon attending an event at Horowpathana.
