Elections Commissioner to meet with local election watchdogs

A meeting between the Elections Commissioner and several local election watchdogs is scheduled to take place later on today (12). 

The meeting will be held to discuss the problems surrounding the upcoming Local Government elections. 

Meanwhile Executive Director of the People’s Action for Free and Fair Elections (PAFFREL) stated that local authorities have already received complaints of several breaches of law during the submission of nominations for the LG polls.
