Namal replaces Basil as SLPP’s national organiser

MP Namal Rajapaksa has been unanimously elected as the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna’s new national organiser, a post previously held by former Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa.

The new appointment was during the SLPP’s executive committee meeting convened on Wednesday at former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s official residence at Wijerama Road in Colombo.

State Minister D.V. Chanaka communicated this to media persons following the meeting.
