Water supply fully restored after completion of Ambathale–Kolonnawa pipeline repairs

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) say that repair work on the main water supply pipeline from Ambathale to Kolonnawa has now been completed.

 

Accordingly, water supply to areas including Moragasmulla, Rajagiriya, Nawala, Obeysekarapura, and Kolonnawa which had been temporarily suspended has been fully restored by 6.00 p.m. today (05).

 

The Board had earlier announced that water supply to these areas would be interrupted until 8.00 p.m. due to a sudden breakdown in the main pipeline during the morning hours.
