45-year-old drowns while sea bathing off Moragalla

A 45-year-old man has drowned while bathing in the sea at Moragalla in Aluthgama, police said.
The deceased was identified as a resident of Eheliyagoda, police said.
According to preliminary investigations, the victim had been bathing with a group of friends when he was swept away by strong currents and drowned.
Police stated that the body was later recovered and that further investigations into the incident are being conducted by the Sri Lanka Police.
