The Welfare Benefits Board of Sri Lanka has announced that arrangements have been completed to credit the allowances for the month of June for beneficiaries under the first phase of the ‘Aswasuma’ Welfare Benefits Payment Scheme tomorrow (18).
According to the Board, a total sum of Rs. 10,904,801,250.00 will be directly deposited into the bank accounts of 1,373,248 beneficiary families.
Issuing a statement in this regard, the Chairman and Commissioner of the Welfare Benefits Board, Nimal Kotawalagedara, stated that these payments will be made exclusively for the beneficiaries of the first phase of the ‘Aswasuma’ welfare benefit scheme.
Accordingly, the relevant beneficiaries will be able to access the funds through their respective ‘Aswasuma’ bank accounts from tomorrow.
