17 suspects linked to criminal offences arrested in islandwide police operations

A further 17 individuals directly connected to various criminal incidents have been arrested under the special island wide crime and drug prevention operation being conducted by the police.
According to the Police Media Division, a total of 28,614 individuals have been searched during the operation.
Police further stated that 580 suspects linked to various offences and 108 individuals wanted on outstanding warrants were taken into custody.
In addition, 73 drunk drivers and 128 persons involved in reckless driving offences were also arrested during the operation.
