At least fourteen people have been hospitalised following an accident this morning (07), after a van carrying a group of factory workers plunged down a precipice in the Udugalakanda, Amaragedara area in Bulathsinhala.
The van involved in the accident was transporting workers from the Udugalakanda area to a factory when the incident occurred, said Ada Derana reporter.
Of the injured, six individuals have been admitted to Horana District Hospital, while eight others are receiving treatment at Bulathsinhala Divisional Hospital.
It has been reported that twelve of the injured individuals are women, while two men, including the driver of the van, are also among those hospitalised.
Police stated that none of the injured persons are in a serious condition.
