Sri Lanka’s official reserves rise to USD 6.59 billion in July

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) stated that the country’s total official foreign reserves stood at USD 6,591 million at the end of July.

 

According to a report issued by the Central Bank, this represents a marginal increase of 2.017% compared to June.

 

The country’s foreign reserves stood at USD 6,458 million in June. Accordingly, the total reserves increased by USD 133 million to reach USD 6,591 million in July.

 

Meanwhile, gold reserves also increased by USD 1 million in July compared to the previous month.

 

According to the Central Bank report, gold reserves stood at USD 191 million in June before increasing by USD 1 million to USD 192 million in July.
