Due to a sudden breakdown in the computer system of the Department of Immigration and Emigration, passport issuance services were disrupted this morning (11).
However, when contacted regarding the issue, Controller General of Immigration and Emigration Chaminda Pathiraja stated that necessary measures are being taken to restore the system and resume normal operations as soon as possible.
