Japanese Defence Attaché calls on new Navy Commander

The Defence Attaché at the Embassy of Japan in Sri Lanka, Commander KUBO Takayuki, called on the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Damian Fernando, at the Navy Headquarters today (12).

 

During the ensuing cordial meeting, Commander KUBO Takayuki conveyed best wishes to Vice Admiral Fernando for his appointment as the 27th Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, according to a statement issued by the Sri Lanka Navy.

 

Their discussion focused on several matters of bilateral importance and long-standing cooperation between the two countries, and signifying the importance of the occasion, mementos were also exchanged.
