He was sworn in at the U.S. State Department in Washington D.C.

The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs also congratulated Meyer following his swearing-in ceremony, which was officiated by U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Landau.

Meyer is a career Senior Foreign Service Officer with extensive experience in South and Central Asian affairs. Before his appointment as ambassador, he served as the Senior Bureau Official for the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs.
